FAQ's - Using BOLINKO

How do i save a page link?
Once you have Bolinko as a toolbar button, get the button here then:
Visit any page you want to bookmark -> Click the Bolinko ADD + Button -> and then "Add To Bookmarks", that's it.

What can i do with my links?
You can manage your saved bookmarks into folders just like any regular file system on a computer.
Create / Delete / Copy and Move files and folders to where you want them. Organise your links this way.
You can also share your links with friends and create a custom public page with them too.

What are my PUBLIC, INTRAY and HOME folders for?
Your PUBLIC folder is where you place links to publish on your PUBLIC PAGE. This page is viewable by anyone and its also your personal web site.
So be careful what you publish!
The idea here is that you don't have to log in to see it and it's available to anyone with an internet capable device.
No plugins or buttons are needed to see it. Make this your browser's home page and its super fast for accessing your favorite sites.
Your INTRAY folder is exactly what is says on the tin, links sent to you arrive here and you will see a notification message when they do.
Your HOME folder is basically your working folder for things you save and work with right now.
Links in the home folder can moved out later when you don't need them anymore.

What is my friends list for?
Once you have a Bolinko account, you can team up with friends and share links. Sending a friend a request is very simple.
And when they get your request and accept it, you can then start sharing links. Its that easy.

Can i use BOLINKO on my smart phone?
Yes, but with limited functionality at this time. There is an Android App which will be available as a download very soon. IOS to follow.
Some smart phones don't need the App, like certain Nokia phones, browsers in these phones can save the Bolinko Button directly.

Does Bolinko connect with other sites like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest etc?
Not directly at this time although plans are happening right now to do this! You can of course save sites you find on other sites into Bolinko but sharing them back to those sites needs a little more work :) But it is going to happen.
For now, there's nothing stopping you simply doing copy and paste from Bolinko into other sites as a post.

What sort of links are suitable for saving to Bolinko?
Any website can be saved. Simple. But its probably a good idea to be careful what you make public on your public page. For example, please avoid your Bank/s website and other sensitive locations like maps locating your home on google etc.
During this Beta period, we recommend just using it for fun and for sites you use regularly that do not reveal too much about you personally.
